I'm sure this has been posted somewhere else but I cannot find it (yet)....

I am trying to convert 700mb avi files to dvd and 1.something gig mp4 files to DVD on a Mac.

I would like the dvds to come out pretty awesome looking. I have Toast 9 and Visualhub (I can get more programs if needed). Which program is best to use? What dvd is better (-R or +R)

Is this even worthwhile or will the movies look kind of weird on a tv?

I've heard good things about FFMpegX.

Or you could atempt to use CrossOver to run ConvertX, although as with most emulation software no guarentee it will work properly.

There's a Mac forum higher up on the Tech Help page, anything Mac should go there or the mods will move it anyway.
