I am looking for a good book on linux scripting and commands. Anyone have an idea on what book(s) would be a great read?

I would imagine if you looked through TQW's bookshelf you would find some usefull info on this subject.
Also at the download sites for the different Linux distros you usually find text files of scripts/cheats for linux and such so may be worth looking there too.
There's a big set of torrents going around that has a section on Linux/Unix including several shell scripting books that look decent. "Linux Shell Scripting With Bash" by Ken Burtch, an O'Reilly book called "Learning the Bash Shell", "Mastering Unix Shell Scripting" by Randal Michael, etc. and of course it comes with alot of other general Linux/Unix reference books included. It's a good one to get, altho be forewarned alot of the files are in an irritating format called CHM. The others are in good old PDF.

An oldie but a goodie, "Portable Shell Programming" covers all versions of shell programming in linux/unix Bourne Shell.
it never leaves my desk by Bruce Blinn
of course, most use Bourne Again Shell, but learning the original doesn't hurt :)
