And I have...repeatedly. That album has made it's way to my mp3 player, and has somehow refused to be removed...

That particular song has easily become one of my favorites.

Strangely enough i have a copy now, and i think i passed the link to acKev30 and you can bet he loves it wink.gif
i know this may upset a few people but i cant take it serious it has to be a piss take that they financed them selfs i cant see any label putting cash for it, just not commercially viable.

well it gave the topic a much needed bump
irishlad
There are several I can think of at the moment.....

Me First And The Gimme Gimmes-My Boyfriend's Back
Less Than Jake-I Think I Love You
Goldfinger-Rio/99 Red Balloons
Jorn-Fool For Your Loving/Feel Like Making Love
pluginbaby

cheesy... i didn't think so. in fact i liked it biggrin.gif (surprisingly enough)

my faves are all the hayseed dixies covers, the abba heavy metal album, and pickin' on beck (by pickin on beck), all of which i will put on here (apart from the abba, obviously) in the near future if there is any interest... you just have to hear them to believe them... even i blanche at one or two of the tracks biggrin.gif

I love Leftover Salmon's double-time cajun slamgrass version of the Rolling Stones' Mother's Little Helper, and their "Stairway to Gilligan", which is a double-time bluegrass version of Stairway to Heaven, but with the words from the theme song of Gilligan's Island. rofl.gif

Voxtrot covered the Talking Heads', "Heaven."
Sonic Youth covered The Carpenters', "Superstar."
and..
The Pink Mountaintops covered Joy Division's, "Atmosphere."

There will be more.

EDIT: More.
Xiu Xiu covered Queen's, "Under Pressure."
Editors covered The Gorrilaz's, "Feel Good Inc."
That one is hilarious with the accent. The chorus sounds good, though.
Death Cab for Cutie covered The Penguins', "Earth Angel" and the Smith's, "The Charming Man."
Nirvana covered David Bowie's, "Man Who Sold the World."
Radiohead covered The Smith's, "Headmaster Ritual."

There's still probably more.

You probably know this by now but Wheatus covered it.

@ Laureth: Rage, Misfits and Cash all did whole albums of covers (All of Cash's American albums were mixtures of covers, re-recordings and unreleased material)
Magicfingers
kinda hard to find, but Angel Dust did a cover of Temple of the King by Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow (with Dio singing) that blows the original away...even outdoes Dio's solo version of it
