What do you mean "Nazi movies"? Perhaps you should be a little more specific.

One that immediately springs to mind is 'Downfall' with Bruno Gantz as Hitler. Its a foreign film and definately worth consideration. Also how about Valkyrie?

I wouldmnt bother with U-571... unless you want to watch something untrue, Americans re-writing history to make themselves look like they did everything again!

Downfall however is one of the best... also check out Valkyrie!

And if you want educating, watch "The Nazis, A Warning From The Past" really well done documentary about them.... should find it on youtube or google vids for the full version

If you can't find The Downfall, search for Der Untergang, cos that's the German title. Most torrents should come with subs. Great movie, as is American History X. Das Boot and The Graet Escape are a couple of classics too. Enjoy

To add to what Riff Raff suggested try to find movies based on Jack Higgin's and Frederick Forsyth's books. Many of their books are based on WW2. The first one I read and I have also seen on film is "The Odessa File".

Iron Sky!!!

Well it not out yet but im anticipating this one allot. Looks very good, its Sci-Fi/Alternate History (or is it?)

Yeah the movie is supposed to be like Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow only this one should be better. It uses allot of the information about Nazi UFO's and such, a subject that has become pretty popular again in the last few years.

Anyways another very good Nazi related movie is The Boys from Brazil - 1978 , a movie largely based on Dr. Josef Mengele.
This man was real but this movie isnt a true story but still a very good movie and many sciences refered to in this movie were to be (and still are) cutting edge a few DECADES later

Never seen Sky Captain due to the poor reviews it got, but The Boys from Brazil I've seen several times and would watch it anytime it's on TV -- great movie indeed!

my favorite is american history x, but really looking forward to Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds

Speilberg's Schindler's List was great.

I haven't watched "Valkyrie" yet, but it appears to look good (apart from Tom Cruise being in it)

in the movie Valkyrie, they talk about hitlers assassination attempt... but it doesnt say too much of the details behind the assassination attempt itself... where as in this 1, they say how 1 of hitlers body guards moved the bag 2 feet, and thats what saved hitler (this info isnt mentioned in Valkyrie)

personally i dont think you can go far wrong with DAS BOOT & DOWNFALL not exactly nazi movies but excellent films on WWII made by Germans

im not sure if that is the same... but the video is in English... its off the history channel i believe... and i think its better then the movie thats based on it, because it goes to explain more details of the attempt on hitlers life

Two film's that havn't been mentioned are BLACK BOOK , a Dutch film, and SOPHIE SCHOLL - THE FINAL DAYS , a film about an anti Hitler movement started by students called the WHITE ROSE.

I enjoyed both but then i'm a bit of a WW11 nut.

I guess a new addition is the "The Reader" with Kate Winslet and Raplh Fiennes.

I know it's not a great film ( probably not even that good ) and i know you good people will think i'm VERY VERY SAD, but for the 3 minutes of the PANZERLIED
( the panzer song ) in THE BATTLE OF THE BULGE my hair stands on end. Like i said VERY VERY SAD.

Peckinpah's Cross of Iron needs to be on your list and +1 for Downfall and Das Boot.
Didn't think much of Valkyrie to be honest.
Enemy at the Gates was watchable also

Outpost sounds similar to The Bunker (2001) about a haunted nazi bunker (decent character film). (-it's not the 1981 movie you linked to earlier, ratz-)
