Thank you rabnbeinn for showing these excellent photo's.
I have to admit, I hadn't heard of HDR before, but it's something I'll be looking into in the futue.
Excellent work, I look forward to seeing more.

Nice pics:) I've found HDR photography works best when you are shooting something where there are extremes in light and dark areas, for example a bridge with lights at night, or say a large monument one can walk into but it has no lighting inside but you can see through to the outside. Anyway, I shoot in a progressive fashion. 2 stops over, 1 stop over, then correct exposure, then one stop under, two stops under. You can do more if you want. I've found that working these up in RAW format does best, though it can be time consuming but the results can be stunning! Keep snapping those shots!

I must admit to not liking HDR when it's used to make the image have a 'fantasy' look; by that I mean an image that looks unreal and not what the naked eye would have seen.
For my HDR images I either bracket with RAW files (3, 5 or 7 images per bracket) and then use Photomatrix or...
I use Topaz Adjust 3 which can create HDR images from a single image. I like the fact that when using Topaz Adjust you can select different strengths of HDR and then modify those to suit.
The following two images show what I mean about modifying an image with HDR but only enough to boost the shadows and still keep it so that you wouldn't know it was an HDR image.

a lot of processing doesnt always make for a good photo. not sure the first image benefits from HDR, but thats probably personal opinion. howeverm i do like the concept of your blood bath!

Hi, HDR (High Dynamic Range) photography can be very good, but is quite difficult to master, i use a tripod and take about 12 pictures of the subject i want to use all at different exposures, then combine these in photoshop to produce the image i want.
below are a few samples.

Some cool HDR photos.
HDR is not easy to master and get right but you guys are doing great. Once master it will change the scenic photos forever. Make landscape, townscapes and ordinary photos more dramatic and exciting.

I quite like the HDR; not all of it has to look fake. Yours was done nicely.
