So...Death Note

Initially I got hooked into the series although the start was a little slow it soon picked up and had enjoyable plot twists and character dynamics.

BUT

I have lost interest at episode 32!??

Is it really worthwhile attacking those final episodes? I thought it was going to be kick ass especially when the intro music changed at around episode 20...and don't get me wrong it was for a while...but man it started to get boring.

Anyone else think the same?

Should I finish the series off?

I also got tired of the story being dragged out and watching filler episodes. I stopped watching and put the series out of my mind. About a month later, I was in a thread and someone posted the ending!!! I was so pissed off!! They didn't even have the courtesy to use SPOILER ALERT tags or anything.

Trust me, if you find the ending out any other way, you'll hate yourself for it. If you don't watch the final episodes, then the entire series is a waste, IMO. I know it's a grueling task, but I've got faith in your ability to finish it out.


P.S. Are you for or against Kira?

Hey mikedangers! Good to see ya man. OK, I'm going to finish watching it over the next couple of days. Then I will have it out the way and who knows it might be worth it in the end. I know I want to finish it because I keep thinking about it, but then I'm put off by how tedious it was getting ...but I will persevere and get it done.

For or against Kira is a tough one...I guess I find myself 'For' and then sometimes 'Against'. I think that's what's clever about Death Note, your never quite sure who you should be rooting for. I tend to like the darker characters, so I tend to be backing Kira more. I may change my mind over the final episodes though, especially if it gets really insane.

If u don´t have the time or patience to watch it you´ll miss the ending. However u could always download the live action movie (pretty much sums it up), though I recommend watchin the full series. Aren´t u curious of how it all ends???

i can suggest only watch "Kira vs L"
it really gets boring when Near enters the scene...

Hiya!! I'm about halfway through Hell Girl, thanks to you.

I've bounced back and forth in the support department. I started off backing Kira all the way but, found myself starting to cheer on L in his pursuit of Kira. Once Near and Mello became involved, I was back in full support of Kira. lol I'm such a traitor.

Once you're finished, be sure and let us know what you thought. Just make sure you don't post any spoilers without warnings.

I have to say I am totally glad I did. Really cool final episodes, had me gripped right back into it.

I think it's one of the best series I have seen...I just wish there weren't so many filler episodes, if it was condensed to the usual 26/27 then, well who knows.

Can't believe I got bored of it...

Well, got to get on with Hell Girl, When they Cry Higurashi & Darker Than Black...man I love anime.

Glad you enjoyed the ending, I figured you would. I've got the same opinion as you, what with the too many filler episodes ruining the overall experience and it being one of the better series out there despite the fact. Most of my friends that have seen it are in agreement as well.

Actually, the series is better with L. However, cannot deny the greatest of the Death Note. There is no other alternative way for ending the Death Note. What will come next IF Kira kill N. Mayb the series will go on. That's what i hate about going on (no ending) series.

how will you know whether Mello and Near are any good unless you watch it?

I can only agree with everyone for watching it to the end, Although i watched the live action films first cos i came across them before i watched the anime,
Still i watched the series again as i didnt mind that time and i can only tell you its worth watching to the end...
