Some rather excelent work there nufan.

I hope you dont mind me saying, some of them look a little rough around the edges and that's the only bit of criticism I've got for you.

No Use For a Name: I like the band but I'm not sure about the sig.
I like the Mark Coughlin sig though...powerful

Ive seen the passion in that face in John Terry so I can imagine how he feels from it. Not keen on the B+W one, bit dark maybe, dont know if thats a guy on the right or not. Just a bit sharp maybe.

nufan stands for no use for a name, they are a punk band from california. Thanks for the comments guys, I liked the idea i had with it, but dont think the execution was that good. Like someone said the guy on the right hasn't come out at all.

Yeah the mark coughlan one was simple but effective. Was a big moment for the guy has been out injured for 3 years and came back played well in our only win for th year so far. Best thing about it is he is a quiet bloke not very emotional. It just ads to the power of it I think

Good Work on the last one mate....I am guessing you used the scanlines on the last one....maybe it would have been better to erase them from his face and cards and just keep them at the BG IMO of course

Looks good...Could go for some text variation IMO.......Everything else fits in very well

Great WOrk....... Wolverine one Is My Fave............. On the Deadpool One the scanlines on his arm should be remove and place on his upper shoulder/back area and maybe eraser the scanlines alittle more around his face........IMO of Course.......... I like the Effect you Have Going....... Keep Up the Good WorK............

This is a memorial for Casey Calvert formerly of Hawthorne Heights, he died in 07 after an accidental drug overdose.

now that you mention the text thing, it should have been a bit smaller lol

they are a punk/emo band who are pretty good IMO the latest album isn't their best effort but the album Louder Now was good as was the stuff before that.

so if your into that kind of music check it out.

Looking good Nufan .....Not into punk too much myself ....anyways apart from what Slinky said I would add that you could try different opacities on the text layers just to make them more attractive

This is a critique not to degrade your work but to help you out..


work on composition the placement of the renders , also the multiple render is not giving you a focal point in most cases multiple renders do not work and shall be avoided it congests the tag and gives no room for effects , typo or depth, the tags are also monochromatic, try to capture the colors and work effects with them, most your tags look like multiple renders stacked with sum filter effects on top...any questions feel free to pm me I love to help as much as create

what I would have done is the image in the back i would have distorted a tad maybe smudge it so it creates a texture to bg

they typo is large and is mainly the focal point, you kinda want the subject to be main focal and the typo to be a part of the tag and not just on the tag, speacial effects on text tends to leave pixel dust and will give you pixelated lines as you can see around the edges of em if you wanna use a drop shadow i myself do 2 things , ill either create it with the burn tool or i will make a duplicate of the text then soften the edges color it black and lower the opacity and place it behind main typo, I know the bevel and emboss may look cool but it does distort the image..

now try to work on coloring, use the color balance in image menu and maintain colors of render and work those colors into bg so you dont have just a monochromatic tag
take it slow take your time dont be afraid to try things, i take at least 4 hrs on a single tag at times...
