Great effects Av. Looks sweet. I still find it amazing how a small thing like a filter or gradiant map can alter the complete look of a work!! Nice one.
TheAvaTaR
Thanks uj. It's nice to help fellow sig makers around.
I still have some more tuts to post soon drinks.gif
JasonP27
thanks for the tut Av... the technique of brightening the light source will come in handy for sure a013.gif
faerie
nice tut av clapping.gif

I hope to try it out at some point in the future when I have time good.gif
TheAvaTaR
Thanks Jason and ma'am fae.
The light source are most of the time made only using white or light soft brushes biggrin.gif
Others use flare filter for that but rarely I think.
faerie
I know this is nothing like your image but I did follow your tutorial...and enjoyed making this image. Thanks av

You're welcome ma'am. Thanks as well for posting an outcome biggrin.gif

I think it would be better if you add some depth on the edges. Either by burn tool or just black soft brush. This will give the light emphasis biggrin.gif Though I find it attractive atm :)
faerie
thanks for the criticism av drinks.gif
attractive...erm well I think it's rubbish. Time to search for C4Ds and brushes. ssmile.gif

anyways, I've darkened it but need some practice at that too.

The Chaos
this is one nice tut Av! ok.gif
always all good explanation..see that I learned a lot from you. drinks.gif
TheAvaTaR
Looks much better ma'am fae biggrin.gif I love the light. I bet it's not just white brush right?
I have a couple of C4D collection but not my works. I can share them to you if you want. smile3.gif

Thanks for the compliments Chaos biggrin.gif I still have some PSDs left to write some tutorials but don't have much time lately.
faerie
no, it's not just a white brush. I have a brush that has like shock waves which I used white at 70% opacity.
Thank you for the offer of C4D av, but, I think I should search for things myself. I know the sites to go to, just not been yet. Too much beach.gif
TheAvaTaR
I wish I have a brush like that biggrin.gif Googles
No problemo. Let me know if there are stuffs that you wish to have wink.gif
Hsv
well i guess this could be another tut to try , Nicely written mate i hope i can get a outcome like it is suppose to be . I have done quite a few tuts but mine never come out like it is suppose to whoknows.gif

everytime i use the burn tool it ends up a mess , oh well never mind

Thanks for yet another good tut mate biggrin.gif
TheAvaTaR
lol. Worth give it a try mate. If you feel difficult using burn tool, just use a black brush for depth (on a new layer). And you can reduce the opacity if it's too much. drinks.gif
Hsv
Thanks av , sorry about the off topic . drinks.gif

Grrr just did one av and it looked nothing like it should of , was just a mess fool.gif . I guess maybe photoshop not my thing
faerie
It was from a pack called star brushes star 4 1 but I've renamed it shockwave

I feel like I'm back in high school and too scared to show the teacher my homework
So it is with my utmost apologies that I present the result of my attempt at your tut ...

TheAvaTaR
@Hsv, I felt that one when I first used photoshop biggrin.gif But then it's worth giving a try when you have spare time. Experiment and read some tuts, the way I did before biggrin.gif and til today.

@ Ma'am fae, gee, thanks a lot ma'am biggrin.gif The outer rings make it so attractive :)

@ pjmur, looks good mate. maybe you could still have some black brush on the left side but with lower opacity. A bit messy but good work on the flow. ssmile.gif
