Very good photos ZEB. I love sunset photos like that. Very nice!
Next, try getting a shot of the full moon.
This HAS to be one of the luckiest photos that I have ever taken of the full moon.
One of these days this summer I have to cut down those dead trees out there. biggrin.gif

This is my favorite.
Put the camera on a tripod and hold the lens open for 2 minutes.
This is what you can get when the storm is approching.
This one made 1/2 of the front page of the newspaper.

Nice pics sunset and moon. I wonder what kind of fish you can catch in that water there?

Snowhawk - great to see your email verification got sorted out!

Amazing pics of the moon and the impending storm! I don't have anything other than the default 50/28mm lens with my camera and finances are a long way off from a semi decent zoom. I did try taking a photo of the moon a while back and ended up with a dot - LOL!

As for the storm - never thought of leaving the lens open - I think the maximum I can leave it open on mine is 30 seconds.

I tried getting shots of a heavy meteor shower a couple years ago. Had the camera mounted on the tripod, right back pointing up at the sky. I got some cracking shots of the stars but as I was skiping through them I noticed the stars rotating in the sky as the planet rotated.
