Come and play SOF2demo, free online shooter with a whole community of it's own.

I joined this game 7 years ago and still can't stop playing. Game though old is still very addictive. SOF2demo has a well organized clan scene and many cups. The demo community exists over 7years now it's most known website Demobase(is www.demobase.eu), place where we organize cups, post videos and generally have fun :) Demo is also known from having an anticheat program of it's own even succesful more than punkbuster. However with time new players are not aware of availability of this free and exellent game that's why I decided to advertise it abit.

Info about popular gametypes;
INF 5vs5 wars/mixwars - Blue team within 3mins has to get briefcase to helicopter or elimnate red team.
INF public - Same rules, however number of players varies
TDM public - Blue team and red team play up to score limit with automatic respawn after each death, good way to get skills by new players.
Also it is possible to download CTF update, allowing you to play on all sof2gold maps.

I assume the game is truly made free by the developer?

The full game (either version 1.00 or Gold Edition), are still not free, but these are dead.
I'm talking about the Soldier Of Fortune II Multiplayer Test, a multiplayer demo with only one map (mp_shop),
but this community is stable and still actively playing the map, with high skill competitions (you can imagine the skill
after playing 1 map for 7 years). The competition has grown, and this tiny demo is still very active and awesome!
If you pick it up, you will learn really fast.

Evidence of this beautiful community is that Raven (game creator) did not have any anticheat for this demo (obviously),
while there was PunkBuster for the Gold version, but also no anticheat for the 1.00 version of the full game. So DemoBase
(the demo's community) decided to do this. We made "FairPlay" for the MP Test, and "MouseTrap" for the 1.00 version of
the game. All fully supported on the active community.

There are constantly tournaments and clan/team competitions going on, also 1 on 1, 2 on 2 and 3 on 3 tournaments.
Over the years, people have made mods for the demo, which has made it possible for the community (Demobase.eu)
to organise tournaments & servers on which people can play the maps from Full Edition and Gold Edition on the demo version of the game.
