Nice one Oh great dArKsOuLwArRiOr.
Being a noob, I have ran across a problem, after I get the effect I want what/how do i save it out as an animation?
I have tried a few times, and ended up exporting it out as a SWF file.
But, after i did this, i tried to add it here as a SIg, only to find out that the format is not supported?
Could you please let me know what format it should be saved as, thanks.
I'm using Windows Xp & Photoshop CS2 version 2.

Thanks...

.... wanted to export my anni to Image ready before when I made my avatar as it save it as a .swf file but did not have the button for image ready. Does this mean I don't have it or do I need to install it? I have the CS3 corporate creative suite but only have a few programs installed of it. Or is there another way to get into image ready as I don't remember seeing it on the install list?

the tutorial s made for CS2 and i think CS3 has image ready integrated in Photoshop(someone correct me if im wrong) so you just need the animation window visible
yes_no_maybe?

Yes it can be done mate as DSW says in CS3 under 'Window', in the menu bar, select Animation.
And rather than selecting 'save optimized as', when you are done, select 'save for web and devices'. In this new window you then can adjust things like lossy and reduce the number of colours to make the file size smaller (so you can put in places like here).

Image ready was a pretty poor program anyway by todays standards, it hadn't really progressed any for years.
Adobe are expecting us to be using Fireworks for the things Image Ready was created for, I've not touched it yet though. biggrin.gif
