I have watched the trailer for this movie yesterday at the cinema and it looked great, a good Mistery Thriller movie.
Also Martin Scorsese is one of my fav producers with goodfellas being is best work imo and also Casino
A thing that I have noticed: Has he got the hot for Leo di Caprio
Leo Starred in Scorsese movies:
Gangs of New York
The Aviator
Thye Departed
and now Shutter island
Marting must think great things about Leo.
Anyways what's your first thoughts about this movie?

I thought the same. Thought the ending was quite ambiguous which on the one hand I quite liked but on the other I felt dissapointed. Wasn't too keen on the use of dramatic music at the beginning, thought it was unneccessary. Would watch again though.

Was ok but not as good as i'd hoped. I did watch it a second time which was interesting. You see every look between characters a different way.
Not to worry, Hangover 2 has been confirmed

3/4 of the movie, i can predict it but my friend still cannot understand until i explained to her.
I kind a guy who love twisted mind and thought when watching. Thinking thru the movie. The concept of the movie is quite good, different angle. Whoever think the existing of fantasy of an insanity.
Stil worth to see tho.

I agree it was a bit predictable, but tell me what was the last movie that wasn't, even just a little predictable. I was a bit disappointed by the camera work. The ferry scene looked like something out of 70's tv.
The plot was good, might have been great if given to a better writer. Very intriguing concept but definitely not new territory.
Leonardo DiCaprio, when he did Titanic I pretty well wrote him off as an other Tom Cruise, marginal acting talent propped up by good looks. His next few roles fell into that line of thinking, but then he did the Departed and Blood Diamond and showed true acting talent in mature roles that require depth. This movie just further reinforces my new opinion of him, he made this character his own. With 5 movies in production and 22 in development we will be seeing quite a bit of him and it appears he will be sticking with his current trend in choosing roles.
Ben Kingsley is the other stand out in this film that in a way tries to not let anything or any one stand out. What can you say new about the talents of a guy with a resume like his. He delivers here as usual.
I think they could have done alot better with some one other than Mark Ruffalo as the partner. Which is the only negative for the cast.
I give the whole thing a 7 maybe a 7.5
